Lakota

   Lakota was born May 8, 1992 in Port Angeles, Washington and is registered as Lakota Skip with the Pinto Horse Association of America.  He has been ridden extensively English and Western, as well as has some experience Dressage and Trail Riding.  Between 2000 and 2003 he earned multiple Championship and High Point awards in regional Zone shows, accumulated numerous Register of Merit points in the Pinto circuit, and won various Championships in Cascade Pinto, Western Canadian Nationals, and Pinto Canadian/US Year End Results.  After  a couple years off from the competitive arena, Lakota returned in 2007 to a successful show career with top placings' in Open shows, as well as local and county 4H shows.

 

    Since coming to us in 2006 Lakota has been a part of the farm Lesson and Lease program.  He has taught numerous students about ground work, and despite his towering height he has helped quite a few participants to over come their fear of horses with his gentle nature and excellent ground manners.
